Let’s Observe and Celebrate!
The Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Krishna, Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on September 7, 2023. Krishna Janmashtami

The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, will be observed September 15-17, 2023, this is the first of the High Holy Days. The culmination of these Holy Days is Yom Kippur on September 24-25, 2023, the holiest day in Judaism – fasting, atonement and repentance are just some of the aspects of this day.  September 25, 2023, is a school holiday. National Hispanic Heritage Month begins September 15, 2023 and runs through October 15, 2023. Come out and celebrate Hispanic Heritage at Fairfax County’s inaugural celebration, Fairfax Fiesta on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from noon – 5:00 PM.
